Drew Carpenter was tragically killed in a motor vehicle crash on Friday night, September 22.

“We were so sad to learn we lost one of our PJJA family last night. Drew Carpenter was tragically killed in a motor vehicle crash. Drew had been training with us for awhile and was a great addition to our academy family. Drew had a great personality and worked out hard on the mats.Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time,” Parkersburg Jiu-Jitsu Academy announced in a social media post.

Details concerning the circumstances surrounding the crash is yet to be made available, as investigation is ongoing.
