Alex Hipple Obituary Huntersville: Police identify 18-year-old as victim in fatal Troutman shooting.

The names of the two men who were shot on Saturday night in the 200 block of Mills Avenue have been made public by the Troutman Police Department.

According to a TPD news release, Zachary Craig, 20, of Charlotte, and Alexander Hipple, 18, of Mooresville, were shot at around 8:25 p.m. while driving on Mills Avenue in Craig’s car.

Craig drove to the Food Lion at 520 North Main Street after the incident, according to the police. Personnel from the Iredell County EMS, Troutman Fire-Rescue, and Troutman Police Department arrived on the site.

Hipple’s injuries caused him to be pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police.

According to the news release, Craig was taken to a regional medical centre, where he received treatment for his wounds before being allowed to go home.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation was consulted by the TPD. Several leads are now being pursued by investigators.

The news release states that no details regarding a suspect are being made public at this time.
